The Minister of Housing and Urban Development, Ahmed Musa Dangiwa, has expressed appreciation to President Bola Tinubu following his exit from the Federal Executive Council after the recent cabinet reshuffle.
This was contained in a statement issued on Tuesday by his Special Assistant on Media and Strategy, Mark Chieshe.
Dangiwa described his tenure as a privilege, noting that the opportunity to serve under the current administration was both an honour and a call to national duty.
“I wish to sincerely thank Mr President for the confidence he reposed in me to serve as Minister of Housing and Urban Development. It has been a rare privilege to contribute to policies aimed at expanding access to affordable housing,” he said.
Dangiwa highlighted key achievements recorded during his time in office, including the rollout of the Renewed Hope Housing Programme, reforms in land administration, and efforts to strengthen public-private partnerships in housing delivery.
According to him, the ministry also made progress in positioning the housing sector as a driver of economic growth, job creation and social inclusion.
“I am grateful to my colleagues in the Federal Executive Council, stakeholders across the housing value chain, and the dedicated staff of the ministry for their commitment and support,” he added.
The outgoing minister assured that he would ensure a smooth transition in line with the president’s directive, expressing confidence in the incoming leadership to sustain ongoing reforms.
He further reaffirmed his commitment to national development, pledging continued support for initiatives aimed at advancing housing, infrastructure and economic growth in Nigeria.
