The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has released call-up letters for prospective corps members in the 2026 Batch ‘A’ Stream II exercise, ahead of the commencement of orientation activities nationwide.
The announcement was made on Monday via the scheme’s official X platform, confirming that deployment details are now available for candidates.
In a statement signed by its spokesperson, Caroline Embu, the scheme disclosed that the orientation course will begin on April 22.
“The orientation course will commence with the reception and registration of prospective corps members on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, and end at midnight on Friday, April 24,” the statement said.
According to the NYSC, the swearing-in ceremony will hold on April 24, while the full orientation programme is expected to run until May 12.
The scheme also advised corps members to prioritise their safety while travelling to orientation camps, warning against night journeys.
“Prospective corps members are advised to break their journeys once it is 6:00 p.m. and continue the following morning,” it added.
Candidates are expected to log on to the NYSC portal to print their call-up letters and confirm their deployment details.
