Senator Ned Nwoko, who represents Delta North Senatorial District and chairs the Senate Committee on Reparations and Repatriation, has declared support for the re-election bids of President Bola Tinubu and Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, as political activities begin to shape ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Nwoko made the declaration on Monday during an interactive meeting with supporters at his country home in Idumuje-Ugboko, where he outlined what he described as the clear political direction of the All Progressives Congress in Delta North.
“We are at a defining electoral moment, and in Delta North, our choices are clear,” he said.
The senator also confirmed his intention to seek re-election to the Senate, pledging to continue legislative work and constituency engagement if returned to office.
He commended Tinubu’s leadership, saying ongoing policy measures were contributing to improved national stability and gradual socio-economic progress.
Nwoko also highlighted infrastructure projects across Delta North, including road construction efforts and collaborations between the federal and state governments aimed at improving local development.
On the state level, he praised Oborevwori’s performance in infrastructure delivery and human capital development, describing continued cooperation as essential for sustained progress.
According to him, alignment between Tinubu, Oborevwori, and himself forms a strategic partnership that supports stability and development in the region.
Since his election into the 10th Senate in 2023, Nwoko has positioned himself as a key voice for Delta North, focusing on legislative advocacy and grassroots projects targeting improved welfare for residents of Anioma.
