David Egbede, March 31, 2026March 31, 2026

A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress, Mohammed Jamo, has expressed his desire to bring former Kano State governor, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, back into the ruling party.

Jamo, who is the APC National Ex-Officio, made the statement on Politics Today, a programme on Channels Television.

“I, as a politician and as a stalwart and a leader within the APC Today, wouldn’t want a single individual no matter how politically connected is or not, we want everybody to be in the party. We want even more, even His Excellency Rabiu Kwankwaso, if I have a way to bring him to the APC I will pull him out from that place (ADC),” Jamo said.

His comment comes amid ongoing political realignments following Kwankwaso’s recent move to the African Democratic Congress.

A large crowd gathered in Kano to witness the former governor’s formal defection, where he received his membership card in the presence of key party figures, including David Mark, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, John Odigie-Oyegun, Peter Obi, and Rotimi Amaechi.

Kwankwaso’s defection followed his resignation from the New Nigeria Peoples Party a day earlier, with the former presidential candidate citing the need for a strategic political realignment in response to Nigeria’s evolving political landscape.
