Super Eagles forward Terem Moffi is reportedly seeking to end his contract with French club OGC Nice.
The move follows an incident in November 2025, when the 26-year-old was attacked by Nice supporters after the club’s 3–1 loss to Lorient.
Moffi and teammate Jérémie Boga were punched, kicked, and spat on, with some of the blows allegedly aimed at their genitals. The players were also subjected to racist abuse. Moffi played the full 90 minutes in the match, while Boga came on as a substitute.
Moffi has been on sick leave for six weeks since the incident.
The Nigerian striker has now filed a complaint with the Professional Football League’s legal committee, requesting the termination of his contract.
French outlet L’Equipe reports that his lawyers have endorsed the request, citing Articles 51 and 265 of the professional football charter.
The PFL is expected to examine the case on Thursday. While contract termination is under consideration, the matter could also lead to further talks, including the possibility of a loan move.
Moffi is currently under contract with Nice until June 2027.
