Rivers State Assembly Swears in Newly Elected Lawmakers

David Egbede, March 5, 2026

The Rivers State House of Assembly has officially sworn in Napoleon Ukalikpe and Henrietta Dinebari Loolo as members of the House.

The ceremony took place on Thursday at the Assembly chambers in Port Harcourt.

Ukalikpe, representing Ahoada East State Constituency II, and Loolo, representing Khana State Constituency II, were elected in the February 21, 2026, by-elections.

The by-elections, organized by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), were held to fill vacancies in the State Assembly and ensure full legislative representation for the affected constituencies.

Both Ukalikpe and Loolo won their seats on the All Progressives Congress (APC) platform.
