A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Peter Obi, has restated his claim that he won the 2023 presidential election, maintaining that the official outcome did not reflect what he believes was the true result.
Speaking on the Naija Unfiltered podcast on Saturday, Obi insisted that his campaign emerged victorious despite the declaration by the electoral authorities.
“I can show you today, as far as I’m concerned, I have run election for the office of the President of Nigeria and won. But the system decided otherwise and they know it,” he said.
Reiterating his stance, he added: “And we won. I can show you today as far as I’m concerned. I have run election for the office of the President of Nigeria and won. But the system decided otherwise and they know it.”
Obi, who contested the 2023 presidential election under the Labour Party, polled over six million votes.
