The Federal Ministry of Agriculture and Food Security is set to host its Quarterly Citizens and Stakeholders Engagement Session on Wednesday, March 4, in Abuja.
The session, scheduled to hold at 1:00 pm at the Conference Hall of the Shehu Musa Yar’Adua Centre, Central Business District, will be led by the Hon. Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. Abubakar Kyari, CON, and the Hon. Minister of State for Agriculture and Food Security, Sen. (Dr.) Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, CON.
According to the ministry, the engagement aims to provide a platform for the ministers to communicate ongoing policies, programmes, and initiatives directly to citizens.
The event will also bring together media representatives, civil society organizations, farmers’ and cooperative groups, relevant professional bodies, development partners, donor agencies, and other government agencies.
Dr. Marcus O. Ogunbiyi, FNSE, Permanent Secretary of the ministry, said the session is part of the ministry’s commitment to transparency, inclusivity, and direct citizen engagement in shaping agricultural policies and programmes.
The ministry encourages all invited stakeholders to participate actively, noting that the session will allow for dialogue, feedback, and a better understanding of the government’s efforts to enhance food security and agricultural development across Nigeria.
