Voting is ongoing peacefully at Polling Units 001 and 007 in Alhaji Isha Mammam Gani Ward, one of the units in the Abaji Area Council where incumbent chairman and APC candidate Abubakar Umar Abdullahi is seeking a second term.
Our correspondent visit states that, the PDP chairmanship candidate Musa Sakodabo was seen touring several polling units to observe the voting process. He later shared his assessment of the election, noting that procedures were being followed appropriately.
Electoral officials, including Albasodor Saibu Adamu, confirmed that the Bimodal Voter Accreditation System (BVAS) is functioning correctly at the visited units. As of the time of this report, accreditation and voting are continuing smoothly, with no reported disruptions.
The peaceful conduct at these units reflects a commitment by both voters and electoral officials to ensure a credible and orderly Area Council election in the FCT.
