The Chairman of the Christian Association of Nigeria, Lagos State chapter, Stephen Adegbite, has urged Christians to reflect the true meaning of Easter by showing selfless love to fellow citizens and leaders across Nigeria.
He made the call during the Destiny 2026 conference held in Lagos, noting that the season should inspire unity, compassion, and national rebirth.
Adegbite dismissed fears about Nigeria’s future, expressing confidence in the country’s stability. “Peace will reign. Every storm shall be subdued,” he said.
The four-day event, themed “A Time of Refreshing in His Presence,” also marked the 38th anniversary of Vineyard Christian Ministries Inc..
Speaking at the conference, Presiding Bishop John Osa-Oni encouraged believers to deepen their relationship with God, stressing that spiritual growth requires intentional commitment.
“You must be intentional in your desire for the knowledge of God to truly know Him… it is a commitment to dwell in His presence for refreshing,” he said.
He added that abiding in God brings peace, joy, and preservation even in difficult times, noting, “When you secure the presence of God, you secure life.”
Also addressing participants, Josephine Femi-Asiwaju of the Stephen Adegbite, (PFN) Women Wing urged Christians to remain steadfast in God, saying His presence provides clarity and comfort even in moments of weakness.
The event attracted worshippers and church leaders from across Lagos, reinforcing messages of faith, hope, and spiritual renewal in line with the Easter celebration.
