Asake Becomes Spotify Nigeria’s Most-Streamed Artist Ever

Nigerian singer Ahmed Ololade, widely known as Asake, has become the most-streamed artist of all time on Spotify Nigeria.

The streaming platform announced the top five most-streamed artists in the country as part of activities marking its fifth anniversary in Nigeria.

Asake secured the top spot on the list, with Wizkid and Seyi Vibez ranking second and third respectively.

Burna Boy ranked fourth, while Davido completed the top five.

In addition, the global streaming service revealed the list of the most-streamed songs of all time on Spotify Nigeria.  Asake also topped the list with his song ‘Remember’ occupying the at number 1 spot.

Ayo Maff and Fireboy’s ‘Dealer’, Fido’s ‘Awolowo’, Wizkid’s ‘Kese’ and Asake’s ‘Lonely At The Top’ are ranked at numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5, respectively.

Nigerian songs also dominated the list of the most-streamed songs of all time on Spotify Kenya with Ruger’s ‘Asiwaju’, Ayra Starr’s ‘Rush’, Fireboy’s ‘Bandana’ and Asake’s ‘Lonely At The Top’ ranking at numbers 1, 2, 3, and 5, respectively.

Kenyan singer Bein’s hit song ‘Inauma’ took the 4th position.

On Spotify Ghana, ‘Wotowoto Seasoning’ by Nigerian rapper Odumodublvck featuring Ghanaian star Black Sherif topped the list of the most-streamed songs of all time.

Asake’s ‘Lonely At The Top’ ranked second, while the third, fourth and fifth positions were occupied by Black Sherif’s songs.
