The All Progressives Congress (APC) has confirmed that the current zoning arrangement for positions in its National Working Committee (NWC) will remain in place for the party’s upcoming 2026 national convention.
In a statement issued on Monday, the party’s National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, said the zoning structure outlined in the party’s published 2026 schedule of nationwide congresses, national convention, and related activities remains valid and will guide the selection of party officials.
According to the party, aspirants seeking to contest for national offices are expected to strictly adhere to the existing zoning arrangement across states within the country’s geopolitical zones.
The APC advised individuals intending to purchase and submit Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for positions in the National Working Committee to be guided by the zoning framework ahead of the convention.
Party officials say the directive is aimed at ensuring compliance with internal arrangements already established for the convention process.
The national convention is expected to bring together party delegates from across the country to elect members of the National Working Committee and make key decisions on the party’s leadership structure.
