A new Resident Electoral Commissioner has been appointed for Akwa Ibom, as Prof. Anugbum Onuoha officially assumes office.
Onuoha, a Professor of Law, succeeds Obo Efanga, who has been redeployed to Edo State in the same role.
Notably, Efanga had previously served in Edo before his assignment in Akwa Ibom.
The appointment marks a new phase for the Independent National Electoral Commission in the state as preparations and administrative oversight continue ahead of future electoral activities.
