Former National Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Ralph Nwosu, has said that state chairmen currently protesting were actively involved in the process that produced David Mark as the party’s national chairman.
Nwosu made the remark during an interview on Arise Television on Tuesday, while addressing the leadership crisis rocking the party, which recently led to the removal of Mark as chairman.
His comments come as ADC state chairmen threw their weight behind the decision of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) to delist the Mark-led leadership.
Reacting to the situation, Nwosu said, “All the state chairmen complaining were part of the programme that made David Mark chairman.
“They were present on July 2nd at Yar’Adua Centre and clapping for his emergence as the new party chairman.
“When we called an NEC to select a new leadership, our agenda was clear to INEC, and they were all present.”
