The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has opened the sale of Expression of Interest and Nomination Forms for its forthcoming ward, local government, state congresses, and national convention.
The announcement was made in a public notice issued from the party’s national headquarters in Abuja and signed by its National Organising Secretary, Chinedu Idigo.
The party urged members interested in contesting internal positions to obtain the required forms ahead of the scheduled exercises.
According to the notice, the Expression of Interest Form costs N2,000, while nomination fees differ based on the position.
At the ward level, chairmanship forms are priced at N10,000, secretary positions at N5,000, and other roles at N3,000 each.
For local government positions, aspirants for chairman are to pay N40,000, secretaries N30,000, and other offices N10,000 each. At the state level, chairmanship forms cost N500,000, secretary positions N300,000, and other offices N50,000 each.
The party also set the nomination fee for national convention delegates at N10,000 per aspirant, with each local government entitled to one delegate.
Additionally, all aspirants are required to have nominators who must pay a non-refundable fee of N500 each.
The number of nominators varies depending on the position, ranging from five at the ward level to as many as 50 for state chairmanship positions, with some roles requiring geographical spread.
The ADC stated that all payments—including fees for Expression of Interest, nomination, nominators, and outstanding membership dues—must be made via bank transfer to the party’s designated account, with proof of payment presented during form collection.
Forms will be available at the party’s national secretariat and state offices through designated representatives.
The deadline for the sale and submission of forms is March 27, 2026, while screening of aspirants is scheduled to take place between March 30 and March 31, 2026.
Late submissions will not be accepted.
