A chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has welcomed the immediate past Deputy Governor of Kano State, Aminu Gwarzo, into the party.
Kwankwaso described the move as a significant boost to the ADC’s expanding political structure, noting that Gwarzo’s experience would strengthen the party.
The former New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate made this known via his official X account on Monday, where he commended Gwarzo for joining the opposition coalition.
“I heartily congratulate Comrade Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Kano State, on his decision to join the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
“The grand reception held yesterday in Gwarzo Town has not only strengthened our ranks with his wealth of experience, but has also injected fresh energy and renewed enthusiasm into the party.
“Welcome home, Your Excellency, Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo,” Kwankwaso wrote.
Gwarzo officially defected to the ADC on Sunday during a well-attended reception held in Gwarzo Town, marking another addition to the party’s growing list of high-profile members.
