Bola Ahmed Tinubu is set to visit Ogun State on Saturday to commission and inspect a wide range of major infrastructure projects aimed at driving economic growth and development.
According to a statement by the Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Kayode Akinmade, the visit will highlight key investments across multiple sectors.
A major highlight of the trip is the commissioning of the Gateway International Airport in Iperu, a project expected to position the state as a leading aviation and logistics hub.
The President will also unveil two newly acquired aircraft under Gateway Air, launched in partnership with ValueJet.
At the airport, he will witness a cargo operations demonstration facilitated by SAHCOL, signaling readiness for full-scale freight and logistics services.
Other projects lined up for commissioning include 1,000 electric bikes under the state’s EV mobility initiative, 80 security vehicles, and agricultural tractors to support farmers and boost food production.
Beyond the airport, the President will commission the Ilishan–Iperu Airport Road, improving connectivity to surrounding communities.
He is also scheduled to inspect the Nigeria Customs Service Village and commission a Forward Operating Base to strengthen security and trade operations.
The visit will further feature the inspection and commissioning of the Gateway Aviation Village, designed to support the growing aviation ecosystem in the state.
In addition, the reconstructed Sapade–Ilishan Road will be officially named the Bola Ahmed Tinubu Expressway, a move expected to enhance connectivity and commercial activities in the region.
The President will round off his visit with the inspection of the Sagamu–Benin Concrete Road, a major federal project aimed at improving transportation along a key corridor.
These developments reflect the vision of the Dapo Abiodun-led administration to transform the state into a modern and economically vibrant hub, while also showcasing collaboration between federal and state governments in advancing sustainable development.
