A Professor of Communications at Baze University, Abuja, Abiodun Adeniyi, has claimed that the alleged plan by the All Progressives Congress to use FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, to weaken the Peoples Democratic Party is already yielding results.
Adeniyi made the remark during an interview on Prime Time on Arise Television, while reacting to the PDP national convention held at the MKO Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
According to him, Wike’s alignment with the APC and President Bola Tinubu dates back to 2023 and has now become more entrenched.
He suggested that the PDP may struggle to remain competitive ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“APC’s plan to use Wike to destroy the PDP is already working. And it’s even becoming stabilized and much more sustained going into next year’s election.
“Wike has not hidden the fact that he doesn’t want PDP to present flag bearer that is potent enough to challenge President Tinubu. He is not mistaking about it that he wants to support the President,” Adeniyi said.
