The National Sports Commission (NSC) has reiterated its commitment to recognizing and rewarding emerging grassroots sports talents who are making Nigeria proud on the global stage.
Director-General of the commission, Bukola Olopade, emphasized that encouraging young athletes is essential to strengthening Nigeria’s sports development pipeline and sustaining international success.
Olopade noted that the commission remains focused on ensuring that talented athletes at the grassroots level receive the support and recognition needed to thrive and represent the country at the highest levels.
According to him, the initiative aligns with the leadership example of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, stressing that individuals who excel in representing Nigeria will always be acknowledged and rewarded.
“It is important that we continually recognize and reward emerging grassroots sports talents who are making Nigeria proud globally,” Olopade said.
