Suspected bandits have attacked a Police Mobile Force camp in Tenebo community, Kaiama Local Government Area of Kwara State, killing at least three officers and injuring two others.
The early morning assault on Saturday reportedly caused panic in the community, with heavy gunfire heard across the area.
Sources say the attackers stormed the facility unexpectedly, overpowering the officers on duty before carrying out the deadly operation.
Confirming the incident, the state Police Public Relations Officer, Ejide Tohun, said further details would be released in due course.
