Soliu Oyesiji, May 1, 2026May 1, 2026

Yusuf Buhari has secured the All Progressives Congress (APC) ticket to contest for the Daura/Sandamu/Mai’adua Federal Constituency seat in the 2027 general elections.

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Yusuf emerged unopposed following a stakeholders’ meeting held in Katsina on Tuesday, April 28, where party leaders unanimously adopted him as the APC candidate.

The consensus agreement was announced by Ahmed Dangiwa, who chaired the Consensus Committee for Daura Zone.

Speaking after the adoption, Mannir Musa urged party members to accept the outcome in good faith and work towards unity.

“I urge all our people to be obedient and accept the consensus reached by the committee and stakeholders in good faith. We should all work together for the unity and progress of the party and our people,” he said.

Musa also appealed to Dikko Radda to support aspirants who did not secure tickets, encouraging them to remain committed to serving the people.

He further urged candidates who emerged through consensus to prioritise effective representation if elected.

Other candidates adopted by the party include Nasir Yahaya for the Daura senatorial seat and Mustapha Musa for the Mai’adua constituency in the Katsina State House of Assembly.

In his remarks, Yusuf Buhari expressed gratitude to party members for the confidence reposed in him, pledging to deliver quality representation to his constituents if elected.
