The husband of popular social media personality Eniola Fagbemi, widely known as Sisi Alagbo, Adesola Akeem, has issued a public apology following the circulation of a leaked sex tape involving himself, his wife, and another woman.
The video, which surfaced on Monday, quickly went viral across multiple platforms, including WhatsApp groups, Telegram channels, gossip blogs, Instagram pages, and adult-content websites, sparking widespread controversy online.
In the footage, the trio is seen in an explicit encounter, with Fagbemi reportedly filming the scene. The circumstances surrounding how the video was recorded and leaked remain unclear.
In a statement posted on his Facebook page on Thursday, Akeem expressed remorse and took full responsibility for the incident.
“I write with a deep sense of responsibility and sincere remorse to extend my heartfelt apologies to my family, friends, business associates, religious leaders, fans, loved ones, and the entire Nigerian public over the recent incident involving a leaked sex scandal,” he wrote.
“I acknowledge the disappointment, embarrassment, and concern this situation has caused, and I take full responsibility for my actions.”
He admitted that his conduct fell short of expectations placed on him by those who supported him.
“My conduct has fallen short of the values expected of me by those who have trusted and supported me,” he added.
Akeem also extended apologies to his family members, friends, business associates, and religious leaders, while expressing regret to his followers.
“To my fans and supporters, I deeply regret letting you down,” he said.
“I am committed to making better decisions, rebuilding trust, and upholding integrity in both my private and public life going forward.”
The scandal comes just days after Sisi Alagbo herself issued a separate apology on her verified Facebook page, where she said she had been deeply affected by the leak.
“I own my mistakes, and I apologize with all sincerity for the video circulating online. I am deeply sorry to everyone who felt disappointed in me,” she wrote.
Fagbemi rose to prominence through her promotion of herbal remedies and gained wider attention following a viral moment at the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations in Morocco, where she was filmed kneeling to greet Super Eagles striker Victor Osimhen.
The incident has since triggered widespread debate on social media, with reactions divided between criticism, concern over privacy violations, and discussions about digital content circulation in Nigeria’s online space.
