Soliu Oyesiji, April 26, 2026April 26, 2026

Stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Zamfara State have endorsed the re-election bids of Bola Tinubu and Governor Dauda Lawal ahead of the 2027 general elections.

The endorsement formed part of resolutions reached at a high-level stakeholders’ meeting held at Government House in Gusau on April 25, 2026.

In a communiqué issued at the end of the meeting, party leaders reaffirmed their “total, unified and unconditional loyalty” to the state leadership of the APC, pledging to strengthen internal cohesion and discipline across all levels.

The stakeholders said their decision to back Tinubu and Lawal was based on confidence in their leadership and ongoing reforms.

The communiqué noted that the endorsement reflects “a shared resolve to consolidate ongoing gains, ensure continuity of governance, and strengthen the delivery of democratic dividends.”

Participants also expressed support for the federal government’s Renewed Hope Agenda, pledging to align state policies and political messaging with its objectives of economic revitalisation, social inclusion and national security.

On party administration, the meeting resolved to ensure that forthcoming congresses and primary elections are conducted in a peaceful, transparent and inclusive manner, in line with the party’s constitution.

The stakeholders further called for intensified grassroots mobilisation across the 14 local government areas of the state to boost the party’s chances in future elections.

Addressing security concerns, the meeting pledged support for security agencies tackling banditry and other criminal activities, while encouraging stronger collaboration between communities and security institutions.

Furthermore, the communiqué also emphasised the need for unity within the party, urging members to avoid divisive tendencies and adopt effective conflict resolution mechanisms.

The meeting concluded with a renewed commitment to strengthening the APC as a platform for governance and development in Zamfara State and Nigeria.
