The Peoples Democratic Party has released its timetable and schedule of activities for the 2027 general elections, fixing dates for its primaries and pegging the presidential nomination form at N50 million.

The party said the schedule is in line with the 1999 Constitution (as amended), the Electoral Act 2026, and the timetable issued by the Independent National Electoral Commission.

According to the timetable released by the National Organising Secretary of the party, Umar M. Bature, the sale of nomination forms will take place from April 27th to May 4th, 2026, while the deadline for submission is May 9th. Screening of aspirants is scheduled between May 11th and May 14th, with appeals to follow immediately after.

The PDP fixed May 17th to 18th, 2026, for its presidential primary, while primaries for the National Assembly will be held from May 21st to 23rd. State houses of assembly are slated for May 25th. Governorship primaries will be held on May 27th.

On the cost of forms, the party pegged the presidential nomination fee at N50 million, with an additional N1 million for expression of interest, bringing the total to N51 million.

Other fees include N20 million for governorship nomination forms, N5 million for senate, N3 million for house of representatives, and N2 million for state house of assembly seats. Expression of interest forms for all positions were fixed at N1 million.

The party, however, said female aspirants would only pay for the expression of interest forms across all categories.
