Governor Abba Yusuf has forwarded the name of Murtala Garo to the Kano State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation as Deputy Governor.
The nomination follows the resignation of former deputy, Abdussalam Gwarzo, which created a vacancy in the office.
According to a statement by the governor’s spokesperson, the move aligns with constitutional provisions, while urging lawmakers to approve the nomination after consultations with key stakeholders.
