Ubi Franklin Threatens Legal Action Over Alleged Online Bullying of Davido, Chioma

Soliu Oyesiji, April 21, 2026April 21, 2026

Music executive Ubi Franklin has warned that individuals allegedly involved in coordinated online attacks against singer Davido, his wife Chioma Adeleke, and the Adeleke family may soon face legal consequences.

Franklin, who describes himself as Chioma’s manager, issued the warning in a series of posts on X on Tuesday, where he alleged the existence of organised trolling campaigns targeting the celebrity couple.

“You know people are evil right? The message I see on this group chat is just,” he wrote, suggesting that disturbing content was being shared in private online groups aimed at harassing the family.

In a follow-up post, he escalated his response, stating: “One after the other, you will explain to the law enforcement what Chef Chi has done to all of you. Just keep opening groups to bully her.”

“Her husband, me as her manager, and the entire family have your time now, and we will follow the rules, and you will be served,” he added.

Franklin alleged that the attacks were not random but part of a coordinated pattern of cyberbullying carried out through multiple group chats and online platforms.

According to him, the harassment goes beyond routine criticism of public figures and involves persistent, targeted efforts to intimidate Chioma, popularly known as Chef Chi, and those close to her.

He urged the public not to dismiss such actions as normal celebrity scrutiny, insisting that they should be recognised as bullying.

Chioma has often been the subject of online conversations, largely due to her relationship with Davido. Social media discussions about her frequently revolve around her fashion choices, public appearances, lifestyle as a celebrity chef, and fan-driven rivalries linked to the music star.

The development highlights growing concerns over cyberbullying in Nigeria’s entertainment space and the increasing calls for accountability in online behaviour.
