Shettima Leaves Maiduguri for Delta, Set to Represent Tinubu at Ogbue’s Burial

Vice President Kashim Shettima has departed Maiduguri, the Borno State capital, after attending a family event hosted by Governor Babagana Zulum.

Shettima was in the state to honour the governor’s invitation to the wedding Fatiha of his children, marking a significant social engagement attended by close associates and dignitaries.

The Vice President is expected to proceed to Delta State, where he will represent President Bola Tinubu at the burial of elder statesman Pa Israel Chinwuba Ogbue.

Ogbue, who is the father-in-law of Tony Elumelu, Chairman of United Bank for Africa, will be laid to rest amid tributes from political and business leaders.

Shettima is expected to deliver a message on behalf of the President, highlighting Ogbue’s life, legacy and contributions to society.
