Nigeria’s Inflation Rate Rises in March

Nigeria’s inflation rate edged higher in March 2026, hitting 15.38%, up from 15.06% recorded in February, according to the National Bureau of Statistics (NBS).

On a month-on-month basis, inflation stood at 4.18%, while food inflation also climbed to 14.31%, reflecting continued pressure on the cost of living nationwide.

The latest figures highlight persistent economic challenges, especially as food prices continue to surge.
