Former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, has said he will only participate “in spirit” at the upcoming national convention of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
El-Rufai made the remark while speaking to journalists after appearing before the Kaduna State High Court over his ongoing case with the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
When asked about his attendance at the ADC convention, he simply replied, “I will be there in spirit.”
The ADC, which currently hosts a coalition of opposition leaders, is set to hold its national convention in Abuja on Tuesday, with the event expected to take place at the Rainbow Event Centre, Area 11.
