Galatasaray midfielder Gabriel Sara has praised Victor Osimhen for his influential display in the club’s emphatic 5–2 victory over Juventus in the first leg of their UEFA Champions League playoff tie on Tuesday night.
Okan Buruk’s side delivered a dominant performance at RAMS Park, putting five past the Serie A giants to take a commanding advantage into the return leg.
Sara opened the scoring for the Turkish Super Lig champions and later added an assist, while Osimhen also proved decisive in attack with two assists of his own.
The Nigeria international set up Noah Lang and Sacha Boey for Galatasaray’s fourth and fifth goals respectively, underlining his growing importance to the team in Europe. Osimhen has now registered six goals and two assists in seven Champions League appearances for the club this season.
Reflecting on the victory, Sara highlighted the striker’s value to the squad. “Osimhen is also a very valuable player for us. We knew it would be very difficult. Football can be very unforgiving,” the Brazilian told the club’s official website.
