The Rivers State House of Assembly has begun the process of confirming the appointments of commissioners and other members of the Rivers State Executive Council recently nominated by Governor Siminalayi Fubara.
The move follows Fubara’s recent dissolution of the state executive council and all special advisers, a development analysts say is linked to the recent reconciliation between him and Nyesom Wike, brokered by President Bola Tinubu.
A statement issued on Monday by the Clerk of the House, Emeka Amadi invited the nominees to submit forty (40) sets of their Curriculum vitae (CV), photocopies of credentials and evidence of compliance with tax obligations.
The statement added that all “documents should be forwarded to the office of the Clerk of the House at the Rivers State House of Assembly Quarters”.
The nominees include, Professor Datonye Alasia; Mr Tonye Bellgam; Professor Temple Nwofor; Dr Peters Nwagor, Mrs Charity Deemua, Tamuno Williams, Esq, Mr Lekue Kenneth, Otonye TKD Amachree, Esq. and Sir Amairigha Edward Hart.
