Pastor Enoch Adeboye, the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), has been hailed by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and First Lady Oluremi Tinubu for his enduring impact on Nigeria and beyond, as he marks his 84th birthday on March 2.
In a statement released by the State House, the President and First Lady described Pastor Adeboye as “one of our nation’s greatest gifts: a spiritual fortress interceding for Nigeria and its people.”
They highlighted his humility, wisdom, and contributions that go beyond the pulpit, citing his work in philanthropy, healthcare, education, and economic empowerment.
The statement celebrated the grace of stewardship and leadership exemplified by the cleric, affectionately known as Daddy G.O., and joined his wife, Pastor Foluke Adeboye, RCCG members, and the wider Christian community in expressing gratitude for his life of service that transcends cultures and borders.
President Tinubu and the First Lady also commended Pastor Adeboye for his unceasing prayers for the nation, as well as his patriotic zeal, determination, and commitment to Nigeria’s progress.
The tribute noted that over the past five decades, Pastor Adeboye’s teachings have continued to shape and transform lives across generations in Nigeria and internationally.
As he celebrates this milestone, the President and First Lady prayed that God Almighty bless him with continued good health and strength to carry on his work in the Lord’s vineyard.
