PDP Still Bigger Than ADC – Gov Bala Mohammed Speaks After Meeting Tinubu

David Egbede, February 28, 2026February 28, 2026

Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed, has said the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) remains stronger than the emerging coalition of opposition figures, citing its performance in the recent Federal Capital Territory (FCT) council elections.

Speaking after a meeting with President Bola Tinubu at the Aso Rock Villa on Friday, Mohammed noted that despite recent defections, the PDP still ranks above other opposition parties.

He added that the party has endured internal litigations and leadership challenges yet has remained resilient and influential for more than two decades.

He said, “PDP is still there, we deserve some accolades for what we did in the FCT. At least, we are bigger than the coalition that is everywhere.

“PDP is a party that is everywhere and in every ward. It has a brand that has survived over two decades.

“Our outing in FCT where we won one council chairmanship seat and about sixteen councilors shows that we are moving.

“I’m not feeling lonely because I’m in my state to make sure that I sit back and watch how elections are won from the polling units”.

RBN reports that the African Democratic Congress, ADC, a party housing the coalition of opposition leaders failed to secure any council seat in the last FCT election.
