With its 2026 National Convention just a day away, the All Progressives Congress (APC) on Thursday unveiled a roadmap for party unity, economic recovery, and infrastructure development, signaling a renewed push to consolidate support ahead of the key gathering.
Party leaders framed the convention as a turning point, promising clear policy directions and a renewed focus on delivering tangible results for Nigerians.
This position was disclosed during a press briefing, held at Transcorp Hilton Abuja.
The briefing featured keynote addresses from senior APC officials and panel discussions on policy priorities, offering journalists insight into the party’s plans and messaging ahead of the convention.
According to the organizers, the convention would be accessible to a wide audience through media partnerships and live broadcasts.
Observers noted that the tone of the briefing set a constructive path forward, positioning the APC as prepared to translate campaign messaging into governance commitments. Analysts highlighted the focus on short- and medium-term deliverables, while supporters welcomed calls for unity, discipline, and coordinated messaging.
Meanwhile, speaking with RBN after the briefing, Sunday Dare, Special Adviser on Media and Communications to the President, urged Nigerians to wait for the APC National Convention to unfold before speculating on candidate selection.
He said this in response to questions about whether the party was considering a consensus approach in choosing its leaders.
As the party moves toward the convention, all eyes will be on how effectively it translates these assurances into concrete policy proposals and coordinated outreach, setting the stage for the APC’s post-convention campaign strategy.
