Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, founder of the Isaac Oyedepo Evangelistic Ministries, has announced that the ministry will commence Sunday services in Abuja, with a clear directive not to collect offerings, in obedience to what he described as God’s instruction.
In a video shared on Sunday, January 11, the pastor explained that the core mission of the ministry is discipleship and equipping believers to follow Jesus, rather than focusing on conventional financial practices.
Speaking on the issue of funding, Oyedepo said God specifically instructed him not to collect offerings for this assignment. While acknowledging that offering collection is not wrong in other ministries, he stressed that his mandate requires total concentration on the spiritual growth and development of the people.
The announcement coincided with the official launch of the ministry’s weekly Sunday services in Abuja.
During the broadcast, Oyedepo said his approach is patterned after the early in ministry of Jesus Christ, which prioritised making disciples. He noted that spiritual maturity comes through a consistent journey in God’s Word, adding that deeper engagement with Scripture would strengthen the church.
Pastor Isaac Oyedepo, born on February 26, 1985, formally launched his independent ministry on November 28, 2023, after years of service at Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel), founded by his father, Bishop David Oyedepo.
