President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has approved the renewal of tenure for three Permanent Secretaries in the Federal Civil Service, in line with existing public service regulations.
The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Friday, by Mrs. Eno Olotu, Director of Press and Public Relations in the Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation.
The renewal, which will take effect from April 27, 2026, grants the officials a second and final four-year term in accordance with Public Service Rule (PSR) 020909.
The rule provides that Permanent Secretaries serve an initial four-year term and may receive a final four-year extension subject to satisfactory performance.
Those whose tenures were renewed are Ms. Kachallom Shangti Daju, Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Health and Social Welfare; Mrs. Beatrice Jedy-Agba, Solicitor-General of the Federation and Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Justice; and Dr. Mary Ada Ogbe, Permanent Secretary at the Federal Ministry of Regional Development.
While congratulating the officials on their reappointment, the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Didi Esther Walson-Jack, urged them to regard the renewed mandate as an opportunity to deepen their commitment to excellence and improved service delivery.
She also encouraged them to draw on their experience and professional expertise to strengthen the effective discharge of their duties in service to the nation.
