President Bola Tinubu has officially sworn in Olatunji Disu as the substantive Inspector-General of Police.
The ceremony was held on Wednesday at the Council Chambers of the State House in Abuja.
Disu took the oath of office following the reading of his citation by the State House Director of Information and Public Relations, Mr. Abiodun Oladunjoye.
Present at the ceremony were Vice President Kashim Shettima, cabinet members, and other dignitaries.
President Bola Tinubu, after swearing in Disu, equally swore in newly appointed commissioners of the Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission and the Federal Civil Service Commission.
The ceremony preceded the beginning of the Federal Executive Council, FEC, meeting.
RBN reports that Disu was appointed on February 24 after the resignation of the outgone IGP Kayode Egbetokun.
President Tinubu decorated Disu the following day with the new rank of IGP.
