FCT Polls: APC Wins Kuje Chairmanship Seat

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has clinched the Kuje Area Council chairmanship, with its candidate, 0emerging victorious in the Federal Capital Territory polls.

According to official results, Shekwolo garnered 17,269 votes.

Declaring the results, Returning Officer Prof. Nkiruka Odoh of the University of Abuja confirmed that Shekwolo, having secured the highest votes and met all legal requirements, was duly elected as Chairman of Kuje Area Council.

RBN had earlier reported that Joshua Ishaku of the APC won the Bwari Area Council chairmanship election after polling 18,466 votes.

INEC also declared Christopher Maikalangu of the APC as the elected chairman of the Abuja Municipal Area Council after securing 40,295 votes out of 62,861 valid votes cast.

In Gwagwalada Area Council, the PDP candidate, Mohammed Kasim, emerged victorious with 22,165 votes, defeating Yahaya Shehu of the APC, who polled 17,788 votes.

Similarly, Umar Abdullahi Abubakar of the APC won the Abaji Area Council election with 15,536 votes, while the PDP polled 4,547 votes.
