David Egbede, May 2, 2026May 2, 2026

A prominent member of the Kwankwasiyya movement in Kano, Kabiru Adamu Abdullahi, has officially resigned from the All Democratic Congress (ADC) with immediate effect.

Abdullahi, a House of Assembly aspirant from Dala LGA, announced his exit in a letter dated May 1, 2026, addressed to his ward chairman in Kofar Ruwa.

He thanked the party for the opportunity to serve and wished its leadership well going forward.

In a follow-up post on social media, Abdullahi made it clear that his decision was not personal but in line with instructions from the movement’s leader, Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, popularly referred to by supporters as “Jagora.”

His resignation marks another notable development in Kano’s evolving political landscape, especially within the Kwankwasiyya fold.
