The immediate past Minister of Foreign Affairs, Yusuf Tuggar, has obtained the governorship nomination form of the All Progressives Congress (APC) ahead of the 2027 election in Bauchi State.
A video circulating on social media showed Tuggar collecting the N50 million nomination form at the party’s secretariat, in a ceremony attended by party leaders, officials, and supporters. The event was marked by cheers from supporters, many of whom recorded the moment as party officials processed the necessary documents.
Tuggar recently stepped down from the cabinet of President Bola Tinubu to pursue his ambition to govern Bauchi State.
The former Nigerian ambassador to Germany said he would abide by the outcome of a transparent and credible APC primary election.
He also pledged to deliver quality leadership, promote inclusive governance, and protect minority rights if elected as governor.
