Abubakar Malami has described the African Democratic Congress (ADC) as a powerful political coalition capable of “rescuing Nigeria” and unseating the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) across all levels of government.
In a statement issued by his media aide, Bello Doka, the former Attorney General expressed gratitude to his supporters in Kebbi, noting that he remains “resolute, unshaken and dogged” in his ambition to reposition the state through the ballot box.
He said his return home was met with overwhelming support despite what he described as sustained political persecution.
Malami reaffirmed his loyalty to ADC members and leadership in Kebbi State, stressing that he intends to rely on their backing in his bid for power. According to him, “My homecoming is not ordinary but a clear message of an uncompromising quest for truth and rescue. In ADC we have a formidable coalition capable of rescuing Nigeria and our state; I will remain undeterred and strong in the face of political persecution.”
He added that the pursuit of justice and good governance requires courage, insisting that Nigeria can still be transformed. “We believe in our country; we have confidence in our massive support. Therefore, together we can rescue our people with no retreat, no surrender: ‘Babu Kudu Babu Ja Baya’.”
Malami also appreciated various political groups and stakeholders for their support during his recent homecoming.
